DIANA, GODDESS OF THE MOON

Your mind hides adventure,
Your imagination hides thrill
If you dare see how far you venture
Find your love, and find your will.

A glittering cave,
That thrills the eye.
How many of you,
Have wished to fly?

Fly with the orphaned Peter Pan,
Fight with Hook just to see if you can.

Or old railroad Casey,
Died too late or too soon,
Loneliness makes her cruel,
Poor Diana, Goddess of the Moon.

Confusing and Confounding,
A maze behind a door.
Writing poetry by candlelight,
In the olden days of yore.

How many of you,
Have seen the open space of plains?
Or heard distant hoof beats,
Then seen thousands of flowing manes?

Enter the mind of King Arthur,
Throughout all land he was known.
Being chosen of prophecy,
He pulled the sword from the stone.

Or old railroad Casey,
Died too late or too soon.
Loneliness make her cruel,
Poor Diana, Goddess of the moon.

Run the Enforcer draws near,
Terror in every eye, gunshot in every ear.
Untouchables ride the forbidden street,
Alert and hidden a destiny they greet.

Teach was heartless, mean, and forsaken,
Come Robert Maynard navy taken.
Hark! A pirate ship off the port bow,
Cut off his head and put it on the prow.

Hear the Indian women cry,
Their children don't see a reason to try.
So join the brave Warrior Band,
And fight for freedom, fight for land.

Lives filled with wonder,
Worlds without number.
Take courage to your heart,
Finish what you start.

Tell me what you hear,
There's no need to fear.
Love has brought you to this place,
Wrapped you in a web of lace.

In the Imagination,
a beautiful world to find.
How far can you see,
Deep in the heart of your mind?

Or old railroad Casey,
Died too late or too soon.
Loneliness makes her cruel,
Poor Diana, Goddess of the moon.
